INGREDIENTS
- Organic green beans – the fresher the better!
- 1 bunch fresh organic dill
- 8 crushed cloves of garlic
- 2 TBSP organic pickling spices
- 2 TBSP organic honey
- 1/3 C organic apple cider vinegar
- 2/3 C water
- Dash of salt and pepper
DIRECTIONS
- Wash and snip the green beans. Place them vertically in a glass mason jar, along with the sprigs of dill and garlic.
- Put the water, vinegar, pickling spice, honey, salt, and pepper in a pot on the stove. Bring to a boil.
- Turn off heat, and slowly pour the hot pickling liquid into the mason jar. Make sure tops of green beans are covered with liquid.
- Let jar cool, then store in refrigerator.
- Beans are ready to eat immediately, but the best flavor develops after 24-48 hours. Keeps well refrigerated for 2 weeks.
